Assistant Coach - Southern NJ
The Haddonfield High School Crew Team (Haddonfield, NJ) is looking for an Assistant Coach to add to our staff in preparation for the spring 2012 season. HCC rows out of the Cooper River Boathouse and runs a fall and spring competitive program that includes winter conditioning. The Assistant Coach will report to the Head Coach and will help with implementing the program. This includes helping execute daily after school practices and race day coaching, care and maintenance of equipment, communication with athletes and parents, and other such duties as may be requested by the Head Coach.
Candidates should be mature experienced rowers and demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to teaching and team. This is an afternoon program, schedule availability is a must. Compensation will be commensurate with experience level.

West Potomac Crew Head Coach Needed
West Potomac Crew Boosters is seeking a motivated head coach for its rowing program. Located in Alexandria, VA, WePo Crew competes as a spring varsity and novice sport for both men and women. We’re looking for a well-organized individual who’s passionate about rowing and has the ability to coach student athletes with varying levels of skill and experience.
WePo Crew is a member of, and participates in, Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association (VSRA) sponsored events. Additional regattas attended are Stotesbury Invitational in Philadelphia and Matthews, VA Regatta Invitational.
Responsibilities
Coach and Lead WePo crew teams
• Direct and supervise assistant coaches of Men’s and Women’s high school crew team
• Direct participant’s physical development program
• Attend and provide “Coach’s Report” at monthly West Potomac Crew Boosters board meetings
• Assist board with daily communications and team “maintenance” (roster updates, regatta planning, communication with parents and participants, etc.)
• Identify and assist in equipment and supply ordering
• Serve as a positive role model for all participants
• Implement best safety and coaching practices
• Support the academic, technical, mental, and physical growth of the student-athletes
• Meet West Potomac High School Athletic Department requirements
Minimum requirements
• Four years of rowing experience at the high school and college level
• USRowing Level 2 or higher coaching certification
• Two years coaching experience
• Knowledge of regatta procedures and regulations; experience coaching multi-entrant regattas
• Experience working with middle and high school students
• Equipment experience including launch driving and boat rigging
• Enthusiasm for working with high school student-athletes
• Competitive high school or collegiate rowing and/or coaching experience
• Demonstrated organizational/leadership abilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to form positive relationships with student-athletes, fellow coaches, parents, alumni, friends, and the community
• Excellent references
• Equipment repair experience a plus
Pay Scale: Compensation is competitive and is commensurate with experience.

Langley Crew Club Coaches Needed
The Langley Crew Booster Club (LCBC) in McLean Virginia has open positions for coaches and assistant coaches at both the Novice and Varsity levels. Positions are part time in the afternoons starting with the 2011 fall training. Salary is competitive and based on coaching experience, training, certification, and years as a rower/coxswain. Opportunities for promotion and professional development funding are available.
This will be Langley Crew's 19th season and expect a roster of between 65-75 rowers. Our parent booster organization is extremely supportive, and provides all equipment, financial, travel, fundraising, and logistical needs for our team to be competitive and successful. Our coaches are empowered and encouraged to foster an environment of personal growth, community and team accomplishment and success, and our student athletes are enthusiastic and eager. Langley High School is ranked in the Top 50 High Schools by US News & World Report and graduates scholar athletes who go on to row or cox in colleges across the country.
Langley Crew's 20010/11 schedule:
Winter training: Weekdays 4-6 and Sat 9-11
Regular season practice: Feb – May, Sandy Run Regional Park
