Head Rowing Coach wanted
The Haverford School, an all-boys independent school just outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, seeks a full time head rowing coach starting in the fall of 2012. The position requires significant experience and knowledge of rowing as well as maintenance of equipment, a boathouse and managing 40 – 50 adolescent boys and their parents. The head rowing coach has numerous and varied contacts in and out of The Haverford School community, including staff, administration, faculty, students, parents, rowing vendors, rowing officials and college coaches. The Haverford School rowing program is world renowned. Our graduates compete in rowing on the collegiate, national and international levels. Our parent and alumni network is very supportive of the program and are organized through the school and our 501(c) support group, Friends of Haverford School Rowing. The Haverford School offers a competitive salary based on the candidates abilities to fulfill his or her coaching duties as well as opportunities available at the school. These include but are not limited to teaching, fund-raising, additional coaching and student advising. Assistant Coach - Southern NJ
The Haddonfield High School Crew Team (Haddonfield, NJ) is looking for an Assistant Coach to add to our staff in preparation for the spring 2012 season. HCC rows out of the Cooper River Boathouse and runs a fall and spring competitive program that includes winter conditioning. The Assistant Coach will report to the Head Coach and will help with implementing the program. This includes helping execute daily after school practices and race day coaching, care and maintenance of equipment, communication with athletes and parents, and other such duties as may be requested by the Head Coach.
Candidates should be mature experienced rowers and demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to teaching and team. This is an afternoon program, schedule availability is a must. Compensation will be commensurate with experience level.
