POSITION A Graduate Assistant position is available through Murray State University Department of Student Activities. This position is a 9 month appointment beginning August 23, 2008 and is renewable for three consecutive years. Murray State University is a public institution founded in 1922 with 10,000 students located in Murray, KY in Western Kentucky. The rowing program was founded in 1996 and rows on Kentucky Lake.
QUALIFICATIONS - Acceptance into the graduate school of Murray State University - Collegiate or High School coaching experience or Collegiate rowing experience - Candidate will be passionate about assisting individuals attaining their academic and athletic goals. - A Valid driver’s license and a background check will be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Coaching the varsity or freshman/novice squad of a Division I intercollegiate rowing program - Participate in recruiting activities, administration, instruction and development of student athletes
COMPENSATION Candidate selected for the graduate assistant position will receive the following: - Campus housing - 10 meals per week food service plan - 10 hours per week campus employment - Tuition assistance up to a maximum of $5,500 per semester (Graduate Assistance assessed in-state tuition)
