National Cathedral School, located in Washington DC is looking for a Freshman Womens Coach for the 2008 Winter/2009 Spring Seasons. The primary responsibility of this coach will be to work with novices and coach the Freshman 8. Previous coaching experience or collegiate rowing experience is preferred. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Winter practices are at the school Monday-Friday afternoons. On the water practices start in late February/early March, and will include saturday practices and regattas.

Combined Cathedral Crew in Washington, D.C. is selling two boats:

2001 Vespoli DL 8. The Jack McCune I, raced successfully by our varsity team, $10k.

2004 Vespoli DS M2 8, serial # VUADF367K404. The Middendorf, another decorated boat that distinguished itself at Stotesbury and other notable events, $17k.

Boats well maintained.

The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) has formed a crew club team and is looking for a a coach for the 08-09 season. UIC Crew is a growing team committed to getting faster and improving technique. We are looking for a coach that can share this commitment and steer the team in the right direction.

The University of Maryland Women's Crew is in need of a new head coach. Our novice coach has been pulling double duty this season, but is really too busy to handle both the novice and varsity squads.
We are a club program, of the University of Maryland. Our boathouse is just minutes from DC, in Bladensburg.
Because of University regulations, the position is unpaid (volunteer). However, coaches travel to regattas and stay for free, and have use of the club's single or double.

Roland Park Country School in Baltimore, Maryland is offering hourly rentals of their new indoor rowing tank training facility. Rental includes use of an 8-person tank along with 10 rowing machines. The University of Chicago Crew Club is looking to fill open coaching positions for the 2008-2009 season. We have a growing club of 40+ rowers, and are expecting to grow significantly over the next year. As a club team, we work hard at recruitment and retention to build fast boats and solid squads. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and committed to building a faster team.

Walt Whitman HS in Bethesda, MD is selling a black 2003 M2 8+ with black Euro riggers. The boat is in good racing condition. It is being sold early because it is too large for the novice crews who row it. This would be a perfect racing shell for a 2V/JV HS Boys crew, averaging 175 - 200 lbs. A 2004 Vespoli DL M2 8+, serial number VUABF130D404. The shell was purchased new by Leon Crew in 2004. Leon and Tallahassee Area Crew merged this past year to form Capital City Rowing. Structurally, the shell is in excellent shape. All seats, footstretchers, and tracks are in great shape. There is the usual dock chatter associated with a 4 year old boat, all superficial. The Haddonfield High School Crew is seeking to expand its coaching staff by adding several Assistant Coaches. The number of athletes in our program is growing and our coaching staff needs to do the same.

My sister and I have been rowing for our high schools for a couple of years and we have just joined our local rowing club but we have to supply our own boat. Looking for a used or reasonably priced skull.

I'm a poor high school student in New Hampshire who would like to, with two or three other rowers, acquire a double or a pair in decent condition (read: it must float on its own, and it's quite useful if riggers are included...) that can be picked up somewhere around the Northeast area, or perhaps delivered. Keep in mind, we're high school Sophomores and getting jobs this summer, so cash is tight.
