The University of Maryland Women's Crew is in need of a new head coach. Our novice coach has been pulling double duty this season, but is really too busy to handle both the novice and varsity squads. We are a club program, of the University of Maryland. Our boathouse is just minutes from DC, in Bladensburg. Because of University regulations, the position is unpaid (volunteer). However, coaches travel to regattas and stay for free, and have use of the club's single or double.

Competitive club rowing program looking for coaching assistance in Novice Men/Women as well as Varsity Men/Women squads. Part time employment, will be one of four coaches for team of 40-50. Stony Brook competes in regattas such as Head of the Charles, Knecht Cup, NYS Rowing Championships, and Dad Vail (10 races/year), and qualifies for ECAC Championships as Division I program.
Coach should be experienced, able to attend early morning practice until 8 AM, and currently located in Suffolk County on Long Island. Pay to be negotiated.

This position is a 9 month appointment beginning August 23, 2008 and is renewable for three consecutive years. Murray State University is a public institution founded in 1922 with 10,000 students located in Murray, KY in Western Kentucky. The rowing program was founded in 1996 and rows on Kentucky Lake.
QUALIFICATIONS - Acceptance into the graduate school of Murray State University - Collegiate or High School coaching experience or Collegiate rowing experience - Candidate will be passionate about assisting individuals attaining their academic and athletic goals. - A Valid driver’s license and a background check will be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Coaching the varsity or freshman/novice squad of a Division I intercollegiate rowing program - Participate in recruiting activities, administration, instruction and development of student athletes
COMPENSATION Candidate selected for the graduate assistant position will receive the following: - Campus housing - 10 meals per week food service plan - 10 hours per week campus employment - Tuition assistance up to a maximum of $5,500 per semester (Graduate Assistance assessed in-state tuition)

Responsibilities: • Assisting the Head Coach with all aspects of the men’s and women’s rowing program. • Duties to be conducted under the supervision of the head coach include but may not be limited to coaching assigned crews, designing practices and land training, attending racing events, rigging, shell repair, trailer driving, on and off campus recruiting, coordinating team fund-raisers, budget related aspects and equipment maintenance. • Conduct all responsibilities within the rules and regulations of the Dad Vail Regatta and Wichita State University.
