Dave Trond

VP Sales, West Regional Rep 

Dave has been with Vespoli for more than 17 years. He has been involved in all facets of the company including repairs and production. Today, Dave’s primary responsibility lies with running our staff of regional sales and service representatives, both in the United States and abroad. He travels throughout the world visiting programs of all levels, keeping abreast of the needs of the rowing community and providing support to all of our customers. It’s safe to say the no boat builder has an employee who has been in more boathouses than Dave.

Dave began rowing at the US Coast Guard Academy in 1978. He later went on to coach at the University of Massachusetts, where he did graduate work in biomechanics. Dave also spent several years coaching Riverside Boat Club and lightweight men’s sweep and women’s sculling development camps. Dave resides in New Haven, CT with wife Liz, a junior rowing coach.
